Making The Leap is a social mobility charity supporting less advantaged young people to develop the skills, behaviours and attitudes that will allow them to fulfil their potential and get into meaningful employment.
The charity provides skills training, school and mentoring programmes, and partner with businesses who want to drive forward social mobility via learning programmes, internships, job opportunities and more.
Believe to Achieve
The Believe to Achieve programme facilitates intervention activities to equip and empower Sixth Form students through partnerships with businesses, including insight visits, entrepreneurial challenges and mock interviews.
Pathways to Success
The Pathways to Success programme focuses on developing essential skills and supporting alternate education and career pathways for students who are not planning to go to university. The programme provides employability training, work experience and one-to-one mentoring to help these students secure a path forward after they finish school.
Aspirations, Careers and Employability Programme (ACE)
ACE is three week specialist programme developed for young adults aged 18-30. The programme offers soft skills coaching required to succeed in the workplace, as well as presentation skills, business ideas, and tips for CV, job applications and interview tips.
Mentoring is also available for young people during and after the programme for as long as is needed, providing regular 1-1 support in goal setting, career exploration, job application advice and feedback.
