The Society of Black Academics (SBA) was formed due to the underrepresentation of Black academics at professorial and senior leadership levels in UK Universities.
Since their inception in 2021, the Society has launched several initiatives and events, including workshops, conferences and career development programmes to create safe spaces for learning and knowledge exchange among Black academics.
