About

I am a Chartered Geographer (CGeog) and Strategic Programme Lead based in Lincolnshire, UK. With over 15 years of experience in Global Health, I specialise in using Artificial Intelligence (AI), GIS, and spatial data to track and eliminate malaria.

I formerly served as a USAID Project Management Specialist, managing a $27 million portfolio to protect communities in Southern Africa.

Current or most recent role

I am a Lead Technical Advisor / Strategic Programme Lead. I provide technical leadership for high-value health portfolios, ensuring that millions of dollars in funding are directed to the right locations.

I author geospatial maps and critical data analysis for national operations, using spatial data to determine exactly where to deploy life-saving interventions like indoor spraying and mosquito nets.

Previous experience

I would like to be a Professional Ambassador because of my deep expertise in USAID's mission and health programs, especially in malaria data and project management.

Having served as an AOR and Project Management Specialist, I have firsthand experience in implementing and monitoring USAID-funded activities. My background aligns directly with the goals of a Professional Ambassador.

Why I want to become a professional ambassador

As a Chartered Geographer bridging the gap between fieldwork and cutting-edge AI, I want to demonstrate to students that Geography is a high-tech, high-impact career.

I use GIS to model mosquito habitats and map community health workers across entire nations. My goal is to inspire the next generation to see how geographical skills and data science can literally save lives.

Types of activities

  • Running activities about my career sector and the opportunities available; talking about what geographical skills I use at work and how geography is used in the 'real world'
  • Inspiring young people to choose geography
