About

I was always an avid geographer in my school years, completing a geography undergraduate degree in 2016. After this I explored the various jobs linked to geography and became a transport planner. This led to me undertaking a masters degree in transportation planning and engineering which led me to my current role at Hampshire County Council. I love my job and believe my underlying skills from studying geography from GCSE to BSc have always played a key role in my career and myself as a person.

Current or most recent role

I am currently a Senior Engineer at Hampshire County Council, within the Casualty Reduction Team, working with my colleagues to create effective engineering measures to treat patterns of road collisions across the county.

Previous experience

I have volunteered with RGS previously as a student geography ambassador and have done other similar school volunteering many years ago.

Why I want to become a professional ambassador

I was previously a student ambassador for RGS back when I was an undergrad, and enjoyed going back to my own schools to encourage kids to pursue geography in any form. I was looking back at this experience and wanted to do something similar now, with more experience and perspective.
