I am based in the Lake District.

Previous experience

Following public engagement training from the British Ecological Society, I co-organised an information stall and attended the NERC Into the Blue (2016) and Be Curious (2017) science communication festivals.

I act as a Geography Ambassador to Eldon Primary School in Preston (2022-present) and have had discussions with classes about my studies and fieldwork via Teams.

Why I want to become a professional ambassador

I am passionate about geography and believe it is central to all human activity and experience. I enjoy sharing my interest in the natural world with young people, as I believe they hold the power for positive change, and I always learn from their insights and curiosity.
