In 1975 Sir Chris Bonington led an expedition to climb the South West face of Everest: Everest the Hard Way. At the time there had been no successful summit of Everest using this route.
On 24 September 1975 Doug Scott and Dougal Haston summitted Everest by the South West Face becoming the first Brits to successfully summit Mount Everest.
Join us for an evening of conversation, films and interviews celebrating the successful 1975 expedition to summit the South West Face of Everest (Everest The Hard Way).
