This session is being run in collaboration with the Field Studies Council. Are you a GCSE or A Level geography teacher trying to cover human fieldwork skills without visiting a field centre? Field Studies Council can help.

Over 90 minutes in this session we will introduce various methods of data collection and techniques that can be done in the local area to your school. We will help you to build a toolkit and gain confidence in using methods to inspire and engage your students in human geography.

Looking at both GCSE enquiry questions and how to get the best out of a local study, and a wider more skills-based approach at A Level, we will introduce new innovative ideas to avoid just another traffic count!

We will showcase best practice and take away ideas to try - this session will help you to plan and deliver high quality local fieldwork.
