Stay for supper on 27 October at the Society after our Monday night lecture and meet other Members and their guests.

Supper is served at 8.00pm, finishes by 10.00pm and is £45 per person (two courses, two glasses of wine or soft drink, and coffee).

Booking information

  • Suppers are open to Society members and one guest.
  • Please book online by 12.00pm noon on Thursday 23 October and advise us of any dietary requirements you have.
  • Suppers are free-seating on tables in the Map Room.
  • Payment will be taken at the time of booking. Suppers are non-refundable.
  • We do not issue tickets (electronic or physical) for this event. Instead your name will be on a list at the door.

Zen in the art of geography

The RGS Neville Shulman Challenge Award was created 25 years ago to support ambitious expeditions. Neville Shulman CBE, explorer and writer, will explain his philosophy behind the programme. The 2023 recipients of the Award, Karolina Gawonicz and Michal Lukaszewicz will give a richly illustrated account of their 60-day unsupported canoe expedition across the Barren Lands of Canada.
