This practical and interactive training day addresses Ofsted’s 2024 findings that fieldwork and local area use are underdeveloped in many primary schools.

Aimed at both new and experienced educators, it offers support for all school contexts—rural or urban—with a focus on delivering high-quality, enquiry-based geography fieldwork across EYFS to Year 6.

Key outcomes for participants

  • A clear understanding of how to design and resource a creative, skills-based geography curriculum.
  • Hands-on experience with fieldwork topics including weather, sustainability, sense of place, ecosystems, rivers, and more.
  • Access to a broad range of CPD materials, schemes of work, and model activities for school-based use.
  • Greater confidence and inspiration to lead engaging fieldwork and enquiry-based learning in their own settings.
