This CPD event is for teachers with little or no previous GIS experience and includes:

  • An overview of GIS pedagogy.

  • Using ArcGIS as a geography visualiser.

  • Adding data and making your own maps in 2D and 3D.

  • StoryMaps for classroom use.

There will be an extended lunchtime, with some optional self-study activities provided.

We will aim to provide tea and coffee on arrival, but please bring your own lunch or plan to go out for lunch (not included).

We may finish a little earlier than the published finish time and we do understand if you have to leave before 4.00pm. The final 30-45 minutes will, therefore, be an opportunity to ask questions and explore ideas further, rather than covering new content.
