About the session

Teaching A Level geography is both exciting and dynamic, offering teachers and students the ability to engage with topics and geographical concepts that allow us to think critically and question our place in the world. Creating teaching activities at A Level can often present challenges due to some of the complex subject knowledge that students are required to understand.

This session aims to share innovative ways that we can both teach and engage our A Level students in a variety of topics, mainly focusing on the core units of the Water and Carbon Cycles and Changing Places. In the session, Kate will share some of the resources and strategies that her department use, sharing practical advice on the challenges of teaching A Level as well as welcoming new ideas and sharing of resources. This session will particularly suit teachers new to teaching A Level.
