We run a programme of careers and progression support which engages professional geographers from a range of sectors with school students and teachers.

Through events, teaching resources, careers fairs and more, we are ensuring that schools and teachers have access to free and accessible opportunities for young people to engage with professional geographers, showcasing real people with real jobs that are relevant to the geography curriculum taught in the classroom.

Join two of our Education team members, Claire Brown and Alice Matthews, who lead on our careers and progression work with schools, and hear more about how the Society can support your outreach agenda through a variety of online and in-person opportunities.

Learn how getting involved in school outreach can benefit you personally and also boost your company’s profile as an employer of geographers, as well as talking you through the range of activities we offer to help engage professionals with schools.

Whether you will be taking part as a professional geographer in your own time or want to explore opportunities to partner with us on school outreach at an organisational level, we will showcase how you can get involved.
