Anna (Ania) Sawko is a conservationist and MSc graduate in Global Biodiversity Conservation from the University of Sussex. Her work bridges ecology, ethnobotany, and environmental justice to promote ethical, collaborative approaches to conservation.
In the Ecuadorian Amazon, she worked with the Shuar community through plant surveys, mapping, and interviews to reveal how landscapes hold not only ecological importance but also deep cultural and relational value, demonstrating that conservation is as much a human story as a scientific one.
