Dr Jean-Luc Solandt is a marine biologist and a citizen science expert. He has run expeditions to the Maldives for the past 15 years with Biosphere Expeditions, collating data on bleaching response trajectories.
He has also been expedition lead scientist in the Philippines and Fiji with Coral Cay Conservation and prior to that with Frontier, working at the Tanzania/Mozambique border.
He has significant experience in marine protected areas (MPAs) – particularly the governance, science and legislation in European seas.
