Mission and approach
Since the beginning, Give a Fig Volunteering’s mission has been clear: to empower people to become agents of change. Their motto is ‘Together we live; together we shape our world’ which truly resonates across the globe.
Give a Fig believes in nurturing grassroots initiatives because working together is the key to creating meaningful, lasting change. They provide opportunities in government schools, universities, and local communities, allowing volunteers to engage in meaningful projects.
Volunteers receive on-site support and training to ensure they can contribute effectively to their chosen projects. Their work aims to create sustainable change and development, benefitting both the volunteers and the local communities they support
What they do
They provide and support professionally managed projects with wildlife, in education, health, for 2-52 weeks. All projects are community driven and focus on development for both the people you join and yourselves.
They don’t stop at just matching volunteers with projects. They’re committed to supporting their partners every step of the way, offering knowledge and guidance for free to help new organisations grow and make a lasting impact.

Give a Fig offers opportunities in a wide variety of countries. Their work covers Ghana, Kenya, Laos, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Uganda.
