Ronnie is a climber and mountaineer who designs outdoor clothing for a living.
After a brief stint outdoor instructing, she has spent the last 15 years designing clothing for extreme environments and outdoor enthusiasts. She founded Vertura to focus on making technical mountain clothing specifically for women, after having to make her own down trousers for an expedition to Nepal.
Ronnie enjoys rock, snow, ice and mixed climbing and has always been drawn to big mountains and remote places. She has climbed Ama Dablam, been benighted in the Alps, and organised expeditions to Bolivia and Svalbard.
She is passionate about improving gender equality in mountaineering and the outdoor industry, and firmly believes that women can achieve far more than they realise, given the right opportunities.
