Research grants

Each year, we support a range of field and desk-based research projects, from established researchers undertaking cutting edge fieldwork to early career academics working on smaller projects.

Kensington Fieldwork Grant

The Kensington Fieldwork Grant offers four annual awards of £25,000 for established researchers, explorers, and storytellers undertaking field research and exploration projects with the potential for significant impact.

An annual award of £15,000 to an expedition working in an aquatic environment.

Thesiger-Oman Fellowships

Awards of £15,000 for research in the physical or human dimensions of arid and semi-arid environments.
