Alexander is a writer, ecologist and professional diver. His work focuses on the intersection of humankind with marine environments and he is the co-director of a small NGO in Greece.
He has worked on fishing conflicts in West Africa and traditional knowledge in Greenland for Geographical Magazine, and his writing for the Irish Times looks at the biodiversity and climate crises.
Originally from Ireland, he has been a facilitator for all-island dialogue and has also worked as a search and rescue operative in the central Mediterranean. In 2018 he was part of a team that travelled by tandem bicycle from Cairo to Cape Town.
