Andrew is an anaesthetist and intensive care doctor in Oxford, with a passion for medical education and delivery of healthcare in remote and challenging environments.

He's combined his NHS work with a variety of challenging international roles incl; expedition medic support (marine, altitude and polar cruise environments), emergency preparedness research (Hong Kong and Myanmar) and aeromedical retrieval across East Africa (through work with African Flying Doctors).

He's an established educator, having set-up and directed the 'Remote Medicine BSc' programme at Imperial College London from 2018 - 2022, through which he aimed to inspire medical students from all over the UK to pursue their own remote medical careers. A particular highlight of his was the design and delivery of Imperial's first medical research expedition to high altitude in March 2022.

He is a Fellow of the Society and currently working on secondment as an critical care doctor for Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
