Coastal and Marine Research Group conference session sponsorship
The Coastal and Marine Research Group (CMRG) is inviting session proposals for the 2026 Annual International Conference in London, 2 to 4 September 2026.
We welcome session proposals that are related to the coastal and marine topics of the CMRG, particularly those focusing on justice and fairness. In addition to traditional paper-based sessions, we strongly encourage creative and innovative sessions, workshops, panels and discussions, for example, with activists, artists and writers, whose work is related to oceans and coasts.
Sessions can be conducted in person, live online, or in a hybrid format. Each session will last 1 hour and 40 minutes and may occupy up to two time slots.
How to apply
Please send your session proposals directly to the CMRG conference coordinator, Elina Apine (ea93@st-andrews.ac.uk) by 5.00pm GMT, Friday 30 January 2026.
Please include in your session proposal the following details:
- Session title
- Names, affiliations, and email addresses of the session convenors
- Session abstract (max. 300 words)
- Indication of preferred session format (in-person, hybrid, or online) and session type (paper, panel, workshop, etc.). Sessions will be limited to two timeslots in the programme. A timeslot is 1 hour 40 minutes. Please indicate the number of session timeslots being sought. View suggested session formats.
- Whether you are applying for sponsorship with any other research group
CMRG can sponsor a maximum of 12 session slots. The CMRG committee will review the sessions, and the approved session organisers will be invited to submit their proposal by Friday, 6 March 2026.
We will share approved sessions soon after the deadline and issue a call for papers in our newsletter.
Deadline: 30 January 2026.
