Obinna Iwuji is a Creative Developer, Data Designer, and Digital Storyteller whose practice sits at the intersection of information design, communication strategy, and technology. He is the founder of Infostudios, a data design and content studio focused on communicating complexity working with think tanks, non-profits, and research institutions to transform data into stories that inform everyday people and influence real-world change.

Obinna’s work spans continents and disciplines. He has collaborated with the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, mapping financial solutions for Native American communities, and partners with local charities and non-profits across Africa to develop data-led content such as the Pad Price Parity Index, a global comparison of menstrual product affordability. His Africa-focused work includes storytelling series that surface grassroots innovation and policy impact, using data to challenge narratives and inspire new ones.

With a background in advertising and analytics, Obinna has supported some of the world’s largest B2B brands, helping scale their communications through content partnerships rooted in data insight. It’s this blend of strategic thinking, visual craft, and a love of space, both physical and conceptual, that informs his approach to data design today.

Currently completing a Master’s in Design for Data Visualisation at the University of the Arts London, Obinna is researching how performance and sensory storytelling can improve audience engagement and information retention. His recent work visualising the Northern Lights, for example, transforms space weather data into an educational experience designed to help people feel and remember the science behind auroral displays.

At the heart of Obinna’s practice is a desire to make the abstract tangible and to use data as a tool for connection, clarity, and empowerment.
