Duncan Hay is a Digital Humanities researcher whose work investigates the relationship between culture, space and technology.

He is a Senior Research Fellow at The Bartlett Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, UCL, and has held research roles at the Sussex Humanities Lab, Sussex University; and the Department of English and Creative Writing, Lancaster University.

His research interests span the use of digital mapping technologies for understanding culture and heritage; data visualisation for literary studies; and critical digital practices.

He is project lead for Memory Mapper, an open-source toolkit for mapping history and place.
