Animal Geography Working Group undergraduate dissertation prize

The RGS-IBG Animal Geography Working Group (AGWG) is pleased to offer an annual prize of £100 for the best undergraduate dissertation. In addition, we will announce a Runner-Up prize.

We are excited to receive submissions that explore human-animal relations or the spaces, practices, and experiences of animals themselves through a geographical lens. All award recipients will have their dissertations featured on the AGWG website.

Nominated dissertations should:

  • Be an outstanding theoretical and/or empirical piece of work
  • Be written in English.

We are looking to reward both excellent scholarship and innovation in the study of animal geographies.

The winners will be announced in September.

For further queries about the AGWG Undergraduate Dissertation Prize please contact Dr Jonathon Turnbull at jonathon.turnbull@ouce.ox.ac.uk. Winners of the prize will be published on the AGWG website annually.

Deadline: 22 July.
