University of Gloucestershire offers the following outreach and engagement opportunities for schools, students and teachers:
Ambassador Programme
Student ambassadors are current students who are employed by the University to support a range of events, sharing their experience and knowledge of life at UoG.
Ambassadors have many different responsibilities, including running campus tours, supporting open days and campus visits, presenting in schools, and attending higher education fairs around the country.
Visits to and from schools
University of Gloucestershire invites schools and colleges to the geography department for a day in the life of a University Student. Students will be welcomed bytheir Outreach team, before taking part in interactive taster sessions, a tour of the Campus and a Student Q&A. Their interactive taster sessions are also available to be delivered in-school/college accompanied by a ‘Why Study Geography’ talk. They also offer support with travel funding. Find out more

Generic University Information
University of Gloucestershire’s Outreach Team also organises a range of activities and events for students primarily in years 12 and 13 (or equivalent). The aim of these activities is to inspire and raise awareness of higher education, supporting students to make informed decisions about their future.
All activities and events are free of charge, and funding is available to support the cost of travel to our campuses. Find out more
Summer Residential
Meet other students from across the country, live and sleep on-site in halls of residence, try subject tasters in their industry-standard facilities, take part in social activities, and speak to their current students about life at UoG. A travel bursary of up to £50 is available to help with the cost of transport to and from the University.
