Careers that build sustainable cities: Bristol

This case study examines the preparatory work needed for sustainable urban development focusing on Bristol Temple Quarter, which is a long-term regeneration plan. The resource examines the range of careers associated with the development.

Bristol Temple Quarter, and the area within it of St Philip’s Marsh, offer a powerful example of how complex city transformation unfolds. This case study examines the preparatory thinking and actions that must occur for long term economic, social, and environmental sustainability to be achieved. Alongside this, the careers involved in the strategic thinking, planning and preparatory work are explored.
