These resources have been produced to provide pupils with an insight into bike crime, partly through the use of geographical data. Resources 1, 2 and 5 are suitable for GCSE, though some aspects of this work may also be explored at KS3. Resources 3 and 4 focus on statistical techniques for A Level geographers.

In addition to the resources, pupils and teachers are encouraged to complete our survey about bike crime, to see what you already know and perhaps help you discover more.

Listen to our accompanying podcast with operations analyst Nick Portnell, Dr Aiden Sidebottom from the Jill Dando Institute of Security and Crime Science, community support officer Jamie Howell, Superintendent Mark Cleland, and development officer and analyst Owen Miller.

At the foot of this webpage is a bike crime ArcGIS map. This is an interactive dashboard which you can contribute to with the app Survey123. The webtool has been designed to investigate bike crime trends and patterns. Use the pie charts, bar graphs, and tables on the left of the dashboard to filter the data and the map. Below is a video to explain how to use the bicycle crime StoryMap and dashboard.
