Response to open letter from the geographical community
On 1 May 2025, the Society received an open letter signed by 533 members of the geographical community calling for action in light of the on For Women Scotland v The Scottish Ministers on 16 April, and the subsequent published by Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) on 25 April.

Society's response
The Society responded to the open letter, reiterating our ongoing and fundamental commitment to being inclusive and welcoming to all and offering support to any Research Group that wishes to respond to the forthcoming EHRC consultation.
