Gender and Feminist Geographies Research Group Conference Attendance Award
The Gender and Feminist Geographies Research Group (GFGRG) is offering a limited number of Conference Attendance Awards to student/low income scholars working in the area of gender and feminist geographies who will be attending the Society's Annual International Conference but do not have an institutional source of funds to cover costs.
The award will cover reasonable UK travel costs and the cost of early, student/low income registration.
How to apply
To apply, please send a CV and a 500-word statement outlining your intended role/activities at the conference, confirming that you do not have access to another source of funds, and explaining how the award would support your attendance.
Please also state if you are a member of the Society, and provide an estimation of travel costs. Priority will be given to those participating in GFGRG sponsored panels.
Please send your application to Cordelia Freeman at c.freeman@exeter.ac.uk and Ellie Jupp at e.f.jupp@kent.ac.uk with the subject heading 'GFGRG Conference Attendance Award' no later than 5.00pm on 26 May 2026.
Applications will be considered by a panel of the GFGRG committee with awards expected to be confirmed by 6 June, in time for early-bird registration which runs up to the 13 June.
As part of the award, recipients will be warmly invited to attend the GFGRG Annual General Meeting to get more involved with the group’s activities, and write a short blog post about their experience of the conference.
Deadline: 26 May 2026.
