November 2024 to 1 March 2025 (with various deadlines for organised session CfPs)

AC2025 Call for Sessions and Call for Papers/Posters (CfP) open

• Session organisers advertise Calls for Papers to their sessions
• Prospective delegates submit paper proposals to either:
  • Organised sessions (by Research Groups or independent organisers) or
  • 'Open' call, with sessions to be convened by RGS-IBG conference planning committee

 

Early March 2025

Deadline for programme submissions (organised sessions, papers and posters)

Prospective delegates should submit their paper and poster proposals to organised sessions and 'open' sessions. The Calls for Papers for 'organised' sessions will have various submission deadlines, some well before the conference submission deadline.

 

End of April 2025

Conference organisers confirm acceptance of sessions & papers

Conference organisers will formally confirm acceptance of sessions, papers and posters for the conference. Delegates may request letters of acceptance to make funding applications, and letters of invitation for visa applications. Conference organisers will begin timetabling the programme.

Session organisers should convey planning information to participants in their sessions, for example length of time they can speak for, and any special arrangements. Session organisers should also supply any special requirements to conference organisers.

 

April 2025

Registration opens

Online registration opens. Deadline for reduced rate ('early-bird') registrations is Friday 13 June 2025, by which date all those listed on the conference programme (session organisers, chairs, presenting authors and discussants) must be registered.

 

Mid-May 2025

Provisional conference programme available

Provisional conference programme shared. Session organisers and presenting authors are invited to make corrections and request final changes to titles and abstracts.

 

Friday 14 June 2025

Deadline for early-bird (reduced rate) registration

All those listed on the conference programme (for example; chairs, panellists, discussants, presenting authors and so on) should be registered by this date.

 

Monday 1 July 2025

Final conference programme announced

Final conference programme published on the conference website. Changes may be made to the online programme at any time up to and during the conference.

 

AC2025

The conference will take place at the University of Birmingham, and online, from Tuesday 26 to Friday 29 August 2025.
